INSTRUCTIONS
Week 1 (25/08/21)
Mr Asrizal taught us how to use Google Analytics this week. We had to come up with a report based on the analytics we've analysed as an assignment. Chia Min and I worked together on the task.
Below is our submission for Week 2:

Week 2 (01/09/21)
We combined classes with the UX module this week. We were briefed on how we would work with Pixlr for the module. We were also told to do some research on story making apps before our Week 3 briefing.
We were informed of our grouping the day before the briefing on 8th September. I was placed in a group with Sean, Tresha, Fazal, Yumnu, Hammam.
Week 3 (08/09/21)
We met with Pixlr during our briefing. We were assigned to do the mobile app version for Pixlr's story making app. We chose Fazal as our group leader.
The things that we had to do are:
- Competitors analysis
- User journey map
- Identify the personas.
Since the mobile app that we are working on hasn't been launched, we had to do the user journey map for the competitors instead of the story app from Pixlr. With that, we all chose one competitor to do the competitor analysis and the user journey map. All of us included our research in a shared Miro board.
I chose the story making app called Mojo. It focuses on animated story templates. Below is my research on Mojo:

Yumnu also started a general survey form to identify the personas swiftly.
Week 4 (15/09/21)
We made refinements to each of our competitor analyses. Fazal also refined the general survey form for us to distribute. We also created personas. The personas are students, business owners, and influencers.
After receiving some responses and finalising our personas, we started planning for the interviews. We tried to interview a few people from each of the persona groups.
I interviewed 2 students and 1 small business owner. Below is the interview notes for the interviews:

We met during the week to discuss our presentation for the following week too. We prepared our presentation slides together.
Week 5 (22/09/21)
Below are the slides we presented during our progression update with Pixlr:

The feedback we got from the Pixlr team and Mr Asrizal was that we can have a feature-based competitive analysis, competitive analysis of Instagram and Tiktok, and explore the personas' workflow before and after using a story making app.
Tresha and I worked on the competitive analysis and user journey map for Instagram while Yumnu and Fazal did for Tiktok.
Below is Tresha and my finding for Instagram:

We worked on finalising the slides and submitted our final version by the end of the week.
Week 6 (29/09/21)
We updated Mr Asrizal on our refinements and further research on the apps' revenue. We didn't manage to do the user testing during our consultation because we haven't gotten the test link from Pixlr. Mr Asrizal said we could focus on the revenue and retention of our competitors.
Below is my research for Mojo:

We managed to get the test link not long before our next update with Pixlr. Thus, only Tresha and Yumnu managed to find people for the user testing. We worked on the new slides that included some findings from the user testing and further research on the competitors.
Week 7 (06/10/21)
Below are the slides we presented during our update session with Pixlr:
Figure 1.8 Week 7 - User Testing & Further Competitive Analysis (PDF)
Pixlr informed us that they would be giving us a new link where the user testers can directly download the app.
Week 8 (13/10/21)
Self-learning week
We couldn't progress since Pixlr had some problems with the user testing link due to Apple's Beta Approval.
Week 9 (20/10/21)
We managed to get the user testing link on 22nd October.
Hamman, Tresha, Sean and I did some user testing. I did user testing on 4 different participants.
Below are my user testing summarised findings:
Figure 1.9 Summarised Findings From User Testing |
After compiling all of the summarised findings from everyone, Yumnu worked on the wireframe of the Pixlr mobile app. We then created the slides for our user testing findings and our proposed wireframe.
Week 10 (27/10/21)
Below are the slides we presented to Pixlr:
Figure 2.1 Findings from User Testing and Proposed Wireframe (PDF)
Pixlr was quite happy with our final presentation.
Oour group had to work on a wireframe for the tutorial of the app for the remaining .
Week 11 (03/11/21)
Fazal and I decided that we will do the wireframe for the tutorial based on the current art direction of the app. We split the work into half.
Week 12 (10/11/21)
Below is the part of the wireframe I was incharged of that was part of the submission:
